Todas as gramíneas atingem 161,18 IVI. Wedelia paludosa DC. é a... |

It is difficult to formulate a single definition for "small scale enterprise." Most countries have their own definition, reflecting more or less the stages achieved by each in economic development. However, there are certain basic characteristics of small enterprises in most countries: (1) the capital outlay is relatively small; (2) the operations are relatively less mechanized than those of large scale enterprises; and (3) they are geographically dispersed. Recent concerns for the problem of employment creation and income distribution in less developed countries has sparked an interest in the role of small scale enterprises in the process of economic development. The industrialization policies pursued by most developing countries has led to the use... |

In the Ebrie lagoon, the reproductive season of T. jentinki jentinki ranges from August to Februarywith a main spawning period in November, which is related to the rising of lagoon water level. The size of both males and females at first sexual maturity is about 160 mm fork-length. Each female of T. jentinki jentinki lays between 110 and 420 eggs depending on the size. It represents an average of about 1,100 eggs/kg weight. The female keeps the eggs in its mouth: this oral incubation reaches an average of 15 days at the end of which the released fry measures from 12 to 20 mm fork length. The species growth in length has been studied by examination of scales structures (circuli and annuli). This growth, compared to other cichlids is relatively slow.... |

As low income countries throughout the world search for means to eradicate poverty and human suffering, great attention has focused on the impact that full development of a nation's natural resources can have, in the attainment of a high degree of economic independence. In recent years, a valuable type of developmental effort has come under scrutiny, following recognition of the fact that no matter how poor the people within an area, an abundant, self-perpetuating resource exists: the nectar and pollen of flowering plants. Unlike other natural reserves, such as oil or minerals, neither human nor machine can efficiently collect these substances for processing and/or subsequent use. Rather, due to the minute quantities of plant nectars and pollens at... |
